The old regime primarily focused on the incentive to build renewable power generation and to make these generation technologies competitive. The next step is to make renewable power generation fit into the power supply system. Beside the known challenge of how to deal with a lack of electric power, a totally new phenomenon has to be dealt with: What to do with the huge amount of excess power?
